Abstract

The public search room of the USPTO is located on the first floor of the USPTO in Crystal City, Virginia, and is open to the public on weekdays from 8 A.M. until 8 P.M. Anyone can use its facilities after obtaining a user’s pass. The public search room contains copies of all issued US patents in bound volumes in numerical order. It also contains individual copies classified according to subject matter in accordance with the US classification system.
