Abstract

Many synthetic polymers and regenerated or chemically modified natural polymers have been used in experimental and clinical ophthalmology. Some areas of this field have been reviewed previously [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. The most commonly used materials in ophthalmology are poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), silicones, hydrogels, and cyanoacrylate adhesives.
