Elastic Scattering of Protons by Nucleons in the Energy Range 1–70 GeV

  • V. A. Nikitin

Abstract

Experimental methods for studying high-energy elastic scattering of protons by protons and nuclei are reviewed. The basic experimental results for pp and pd scattering for E > 1 GeV are given. The problem of checking dispersion relations for pN scattering is discussed. Models for high-energy nucleon-nucleon interactions are reviewed.
