Summary

A constant thermographic abnormality in patients with tennis elbow is described. Serial change of this lesion with clinical improvement is considered. Methods of thermographic analysis of a region of interest using a microcomputer revealed gradient analysis to correlate well with clinical severity and accurately reflect recovery. Diurnal variation of temperature but not pattern was found, making temperature-based parameters less useful in analysis.
