Immunofluorescent Characterization of the Eukaryotic Ultraplankton

The specificity of the antigen-antibody reaction suggests its use in systematics. Coupling the antibody to a fluorescent tag could provide identification of very small organisms — minute unicells that are difficult to identify in other ways.
