Appropriate Technology Approach to Solar Energy Conversion

  • B. Bartoli

When we want to introduce Solar Energy into the energy system, there are two main approaches possible. The first one consists in transforming Solar energy into some traditional primary or secondary energy form (e.g. fuel or electricity) and introducing it upstream into the system without enquiring about the final use: this is the case for instance of large helioelectrical plants.
