The analysis of the F-48 Alloy illustrates the great versatility of the X-ray spectrograph as an analyst’s tool. The average instrument can be used for the analysis of the alloying constituents as well as the tantalum impurity. This wide range extends from the 15% level for tungsten to 100 ppm for tantalum.
