BRUTUS: An Interactive Graphic Editor for IC Layout
BRUTUS is an interactive graphic editor for IC layout. It is implemented in C language under UNIX of the VAX-11/780. BRUTUS performs 2-D geometrical functions such as rotation, translation, mirroring and is capable of zooming a specified area (called window) of a graph and thus is suitable for the manipulation of a planar graph.
The most important facility provided by BRUTUS, which makes the plot of a VLSI layout possible, is that it allows a graph of great complexity to be built up in a hierarchical approach.
BRUTUS is also capable of manipulating the CIF input file and of generating the CIF output file.
