Methods and Results of the Nuclear Three-Body Problem

This review contains an exposition of regular methods of calculating the characteristics of 3-nucleon systems with local potentials and an analysis of results obtained by these methods. Only results of calculations of the tritium binding energy and the doublet ndscattering length are considered. The problem of the nonuniqueness in the choice of the form and parameters of the nucleon-nucleon interaction is discussed.
