Measuring the Magnetic Moments of Short-Lived Nuclear States

Abstract

There is a general review of methods for measuring the magnetic moments of short-lived nuclear states. There is a more detailed discussion of the principles, advantages, and limitations of methods based on the Mossbauer effect and on the angular correlation of nuclear radiation. Some recent methodological improvements are described.
