Geochemical Parameters of Elements Which Condition Their Physical and Chemical Migration

  • Aleksandr I. Perel’man
Part of the Monographs in Geoscience book series (MOGEO)

Physicochemical migration is not very different from the biogenic, since such phenomena as acidity-basicity, oxidation-reduction, or the gaseous content of natural waters are controlled by organisms. However, should some element become dissolved in the form of an ion, an undissociated molecule, or a colloidal miscela, its behavior will be governed by the laws of physics and chemistry.
