About Distances in the “Characteristic Pattern” of Exploding Wires

Abstract

The “characteristic pattern” of an exploding wire is obtained by placing a glass slide near an exploding wire on which the metallic vapor will precipitate [1]. Such an exploding wire pattern does not show a homogeneous deposit but systems of striations (Fig. 1). Their number can vary considerably.
