Abstract

We consider the one band Hubbard Hamiltonian where

the sites {i} form a periodic lattice; o is taken +1 for spin up and -1 for spin down; εO is a constant which can be taken as zero; Vij is the hopping integral and in the present work is taken to be a constant V for i,j being nearest neighbours and zero otherwise; U is the on-site Coulomb repulsion and finally n = α+ α with a+ being the creation and annihilation operators respectively.
