Equation of State of Dense Fluids: Comparison with Machine Calculations and Estimations from Pressure Dependence of Dielectric Constant Measurements
There are now very accurate ways to predict thermodynamic data of simple dense fluids at both equilibrium and nonequilibrium and to obtain direct experimental confirmations. In this study of gaseous helium, neon, and argon, experimental data has been compared with predictions of numerical equations of State derived from exact Computer calculations for a Lennard-Jones fluid, up to reduced densities ρ* = ρσ3 ≈ l. In addition, provisional PVT data deduced from dielectric constant measurement of the fluid with respect to pressure are also given.
