Safety Considerations in High Pressure Work

  • G. Saville

High-pressure work is hazardous whatever its scale, but this does not mean that the operator need, or even should be allowed to, take risks. Individuais can of course avoid risks only when they know how to assess the adequacy of their equipment and the magnitude of the hazard in the work which they are doing. My concern here is to try to help the user in making this assessment, but it must be realized that It is impossible to make blanket generalizations which apply equally to the inexperienced technician and the highly-skilled professional designer of high-pressure equipment.
