Implications for Social Theory

In this chapter I will suggest a few lines of theoretical inquiry that might be fruitfully pursued with reference to patterns of regressive intervention. First, I will examine the Parsonian theory of social evolution in light of my analysis, and then I will turn to some other domains of theoretical interest that might be illuminated by the study of regressive intervention.
