Spectroscopic Characteristics of Rat Skeletal and Cardiac Tissues in the Visible and Near-Infrared Region
Cardiac and skeletal muscle cells contain myoglobin and mitochondrial cytochromes, both of which respond to oxygen concentration. In this paper, we will present the optical characteristics of rat cardiac and skeletal muscles in the range of 500 to 900 nm.
