Abstract

Implantation generally occurs on the twenty-first day of the menstrual cycle, that is, during the progestational phase. At this time the mucosa is thick, richly vascularised, and provided with large amounts of glycogen. The blastocyst thus finds conditions particularly favourable or its implantion, especially for its nutrition.
