Abstract

The incidence of childhood urolithiasis in the Children’s University Hospital of Tehran amounts to one case in 300 admissions. Children admitted to this general hospital originate from all over Iran and cover the full spectrum of social classes. The lack of knowledge about this disease in Iran led us to determine the composition of stones in children in order to compare these results with findings in other countries in the Middle and Far East.
