Composition and Structure of Infected Stones

Abstract

Urinary infection is often associated with urinary stones, owing to the chemical changes in urine resulting from infection. In this paper, we report on the composition and structure of 18 infected stones using polarized light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX).
