The Role of Cranial Structures in Odontocete Sonar Signal Emission
Two independent hypotheses attempt to explain the sonar signal transmission mecanism on its path towards the outside environment:
focalization through reflection on the concave surface of the anterior cranial region,
transmission through the premaxilla.
