Abstract

It has been shown that bombesin (BBS), an active tetradecapeptide isolated from the skin of frogs1, displays a number of pharmacological actions, including a hyperglycemic action in the rat and the dog and an increase in immunoreactive insulin levels in peripheral blood of the dog have been reported1.
