The Oriented Gas Model and Its Application to Molecular Crystals
The oriented gas model is the simplest representation of the molecular crystal lattice. Within the framework of this model, the interactions of the molecules are neglected, and the crystal is considered as an accumulation of periodically disposed and regularly oriented isolated molecules.
