Infinite Dimensional Vector Spaces

Up to this point we have directed our attention to the consideration of finite dimensional vector spaces exclusively. While it is true that the basic concepts of the finite case are applicable for arbitrary spaces, it is not obvious that all of these are significant for spaces without finite bases.
