Theta Functions

Part of the The University Series in Mathematics book series (USMA)

In this chapter we will attack the problem of giving a nice structure to the set of isomorphism classes of cubics and also the set of “ framed ” cubics. We rely heavily on the analytic tools of theta functions and modular forms. The introduction of these concepts will also prepare us for their use in a more general setting in later chapters.
