Design Considerations and Operational Strategies of a Commercial Glucose Isomerase Reactor System
Relatively few reports in the literature address the problems of large-scale industrial reactor design and operation. Several important design considerations and process engineering problems are discussed in this communication. A commercial high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) production facility, including an immobilized glucose isomerase reactor, forms the basis of this discussion.
