Immobilized Glucose-Oxidase/Catalase: Deactivation in a Differential Reactor

Abstract

The immobilized enzyme system glucose-oxidase/cata­lase (GOD/CAT) is a three-phase system exhibiting many characteristics similar to conventional heterogeneous catalysis. The low solubility of oxygen in water at normal conditions indicates that for all practical con­centrations of glucose, oxygen will be the rate limiting substrate.
