Abstract

In the context of this manual, the term ‘special purposes’ is used to describe ink applications either totally outside the mainstream of the five major printing processes — lithography and letterpress, flexography, gravure and screen — or which have their roots in one of these technologies, but for which ink development has been unique to suit a highly specific end use.
