It must not be thought that I have spent the past ten years of my life pafnutying. (I should like to be remembered as the man who introduced this verb into the language. I think it has great possibilities, like Oscar Wilde’s ‘bunburying.’ In future editions of Webster, I should like to see: to pafnuty, v.i., to pursue tangential matters with hobby-like zeal.)
