Noise Source Diagnosis and Case Studies

  • John E. K. Foreman

This chapter begins with a discussion on source diagnosis by sound-power data, followed by typical case studies on noise control which amplify the application of the principles which are outlined in previous sections of this text. The case studies which are considered are typical of noise problems and control measures encountered in industry, building, and the environment in general. These case studies have been taken from the literature (with permission of the publishers), from a publication from NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), and from the writer’s own files.
