The i386/i486 processor provides advanced debugging features that give you a convenient way to examine program execution states. There are four debugging methods supported by the i386/i486 processor.

  • instruction breakpoint

  • single step trap

  • instruction-breakpoint fault and data-breakpoint trap

  • task-switch trap
