Pesticide formulations

Abstract

The successful use of pesticides to control harmful insects, mites, microorganisms, and weeds depends to a large degree on the formulation of the preparation and the conditions under which the chemical compound is brought into contact with the pests of plants, vectors of plant diseases, stored product pests, destroyers of nonmetallic materials, and undesirable plants. The different natures of the chemical compounds used and the variety of objects for which they are used makes it necessary to produce a large number of formulations suitable for employment under practical conditions.
