Abstract

There have recently been many experimental and theoretical studies of amorphous carbon (a-C) and hydrogenated amorphous carbon (a-C:H) 1, 2. In a-C, the carbon atoms form both fourfold (sp3) sites (diamond-like) and threefold (sp2) sites (graphite-like).
