Abstract

Krotscheck to Walraven : Normally one sees interesting effects when the energy of the probe agrees with the energy of one of the collective modes. In helium films, one would expect such a level crossing at about 1 K energy of the H-atom with the ripplon, and at larger or equal to 10 K with the phonon/roton. Is it possible to make experiments in that regime of energies of the H-atoms?
