Abstract

There are a number of procedures and tests that the psychiatric clinician can use to facilitate the assessment process. Although these procedures and tests are usually referred to as diagnostic, they do not always clarify diagnostic issues; indeed, in many instances, they are better thought of as tests of pathogenicity or etiology.
