Superconducting Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O Thin Films

  • R. J. Lin

The superconducting Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O thin films (0.6–2µm) on (001)MgO and YSZ single crystal substrates have been prepared by diffusion and interaction between Tl2O3 vapor and sputtered Ca-Ba-Cu-O films in the flowing O2 furnace. The best superconductivity of the films is Tc(onset) =120K and Tc(zero)=78K. The superconducting phase is highly oriented Tl1Ca1Ba2Cu2Ox.
