Tests of Reduction and Analysis Algorithms for Astronomical Images

Abstract

The reduction and analysis of the data from large scale CCD surveys will require a degree of automation greater than any yet attempted in optical astronomy. The very large number of objects, plus the demanding uses to which the data will be put combine to present a challenging problem.
