Analyzing the Distribution of Decay Constants in Pulse Fluorimetry Using the Maximum Entropy Method
Fluorescence kinetics are usually very complicated arising from the heterogeneity of the types of fluorophores and from their varied physical or/and chemical environments. In the most general case the fluorescence kinetics obeys an exponential law and the central problem in data analyses is the recovery of the distribution α(τ) of exponentials describing the decay of fluorescence (i. e. inverting the Laplace transform).
