Abstract

There are two main approaches to scintigraphic visualization of lymph nodes (lymphoscintigraphy or “lymphadenoscintigraphy” ) : (i) the noninvasive interstitial injection or the invasive intralymphatic infusion; and (ii) the systemic, mostly intravenous, injection or infusion of radiopharmaceuticals with affinity to normal or abnormal lymph nodes (Table 1).
