M cells of follicle-associated epithelium (FAE) transport luminal antigens into Peyer’s patches (PP), but the complete role of these cells in local immunity has not been defined. To this end it would be of interest to evaluate their spatial relationship to T cells and their possible capacity to present antigens to T cells.
