Abstract
The previous chapters of this volume have presented the results of academic research, described specific efforts of various corporations, and related personal observations of minority managers. Part I of this chapter discusses recommendations for specific action steps to be taken by corporations. Part II outlines ideas that the nation’s graduate schools of business might consider in order to address the issues raised previously. Our purpose is to be suggestive, though not exhaustive, and perhaps somewhat challenging. The reader should not look for exact blueprints, and thus be disappointed, but will instead find ideas that should be revised and built upon to improve the corporation’s or school’s efforts. Of course, any program of action will have to be shaped to fit the particular circumstances, current practices, tradition, culture, and objectives of a specific organization.
