Electronic States in Semiconductor Heterostructures

Abstract

We review some features of the electronic states in semiconductor heterostructures. The emphasis will be placed on the short period superlattices, the in -plane dispersion of the valence subbands, the energy levels in doped heterolayers and in quasi unidimensional semiconductor wires.
