Organ Transplantation: The Role of Preservation

Abstract

The perspective which I am able to bring to this conference is that of a clinical transplant surgeon with a longstanding interest in organ preservation. I would like, therefore, to review with you the present state of the art of organ transplantation with reference to the role of organ preservation and in particular whole organ freezing.
