Epidemiologic Evidence for Genetic Variability in the Frequency of Cancer: Ethnic Differences

Abstract

There are some remarkable ethnic differences in the frequency of cancer. Differences that change with migration are apparently due to the environment; those that remain constant are presumably due to inheritance, if diagnostic accuracy and reporting remain comparable.
