Chronic Low Back Pain: A Psychiatric Assessment of 72 Patients
Over a period of ten years, 72 cases of low back pain of more than six months’ duration were referred for psychiatric assessment. Review of these cases revealed some interesting patterns, not apparent in the literature. The material is presented here as a contribution towards the understanding of a condition which produces a great deal of illness and disability.
