The use of a polarized antiprotons would add a new technique to many low energy pp̄ experiments and to the measurement of fundamental properties of antiprotons. Of the various ideas that have been presented the techniques known as the spinfilter, spinsplitter, polarization of and polarization using strong interactions remain the most likely ones to work. We give a brief critique of each method.
