Phospholipase A2 of Mammalian Cells
This chapter continues with the theme of mammalian phospholipases, also the subject of Chapters 6 and 8. The work described here is most closely related to that in the previous chapter on the other classes of mammalian acyl hydrolases, the phospholipases Al and lysophospholipases. The literature on mammalian phospholipases A2 is larger than that on the phospholipases A, and lysophospholipases, perhaps because of interest in the metabolism of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids.
