Neutron Diffraction : Contribution to High and Low Resolution Crystallography

Abstract

The contribution of neutron diffraction to crystallography in molecular biology is essentially due to the difference of the scattering properties of H and D nuclei (1) (-0.37410-12 cm for H and +0.66710-12 cm for D). This characteristic can be used in high resolution work and in low resolution work.
