Biosynthesis of Sulfoquinovosyldiacylglycerol in Chloroplasts of Higher Plants

Sulfoquinovosyldiacylglycerol (SQDG) was first isolated and characterized 27 years ago (Benson et al. 1959). But the pathway of biosynthesis and the function have not yet been satisfactorily demonstrated.
