The Spins of Cyons and Dyons

Abstract

It has recently been suggested1that a new kind of atom, sometimes called a cyon, may be able to have any spin and presumably any, or at least unusual, statistics. A cyon consists of a charged particle (e) which in the simplest case is a spinless boson bound by a scalar force to a toroidal region surrounding a magnetic flux line that lies along the z axis (Fig. 1) and carries an amount of flux equal to Φ.
